If one were to be in the market for a new couch, when's the best time of year to get a good deal? Anyone know? Is it true what they say that post-holidays is a prime time ?

Too bad you don't live anywhere near Oklahoma. There is a store there called Mathis Brothers that has THE BEST furniture and the BEST prices. I do most of my purchasing there and then bring it down to Texas. It's worth it!!!! $800 leather club chairs by one of the top names...$350 each. LOVE THEM!!!!
I manage a small furniture store/factory in ohio, and my best advice is to start looking at smaller locally owned furniture stores, they usually carry the same manufacturers as the big stores, but are more willing to deal with you because they set their own prices. The store that I work at, me have leather sectionals starting at $999 and up. but, we always work with our customers. If you have any questions about furniture, I can answer a lot of them and I can check on the cost of a lot of pieces and tell you if you are getting a good deal. Just email me if you need help.
